Dr. Gökhan Seçinti's Project Awarded TÜBİTAK-Korea Grant
Dr. Gökhan Seçinti's project titled "Investigation of Federated Learning-Based Computing in Flying Networks" has been selected for funding under the TÜBİTAK 2523—Korea National Research Foundation Collaboration Program. The project will receive support for 24 months, from 2024 to 2026. Congratulations to Gökhan Seçinti and His Team.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. İlkay Öksüz's Project Funded within the Scope of TÜBİTAK Tunisia Bilateral Cooperation
Assoc. Prof. Dr. İlkay Öksüz’s project, "Tunisia Turkey eXplainable AI for Mammography-based Breast Cancer Diagnosis," was funded within the scope of TÜBİTAK Tunisia Bilateral Cooperation supported by MHESR and TÜBİTAK between 2024 and 2027.

Prof. Dr. Hatice Köse's Project Accepted within the Scope of the European Union Erasmus+ Programme Higher Education Cooperation Call
Prof. Dr. Hatice Köse’s project under the coordination of ITU, “TE(A)CADAPT: Teaching students how children with neurodevelopmental disorders adopt and interact with technologies”, was accepted within the scope of the European Union Erasmus+ Programme Higher Education Cooperation call. The project will start in December 2024 and will last for three years.

Dr. Ali Cakmak's Project Funded as Part of the EU Joint Programme – Neurodegenerative Disease Research (JPND) Initiative's Transnational Call
Dr. Ali Cakmak has been granted research funding as part of the EU Joint Programme – Neurodegenerative Disease Research (JPND) initiative's transnational call for large-scale OMICS data analysis for drug-target findings in neurodegenerative diseases. The focus of the project is the discovery of biomarkers and microRNA-based therapeutic targets for Alzheimer’s disease. The project involves partners from research institutions in Ireland, Italy, Poland, and Türkiye. The grant will cover 3 years between 2024 and 2027.

AI EDIH Türkiye Consortium Joins European Digital Innovation Hubs Network
Under the leadership of MESS, the “AI EDIH Türkiye” Consortium, established in collaboration with ITU, 1773 ITU Teknopark, BİLKENT, ISO, ISO ETP, TÜBİTAK BİLGEM, and ISTKA, has been selected to join the European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) network. From our faculty, Hatice Köse (ITU coordinator), Faik Boray Tek, and Tuğba Pamay Arslan are serving as researchers in the project.
