Research Areas

The Cyber Security and Privacy Laboratory is an interdisciplinary research environment dedicated to addressing security, privacy, and trust challenges in modern digital systems. The lab develops innovative methods in machine learning-driven security, cryptography, network security, and the protection of cyber-physical systems. Particular emphasis is placed on critical domains such as financial systems, IoT, blockchain technologies, and autonomous systems, with the goal of delivering secure, scalable, and practical solutions. In addition to academic research, the laboratory supports students through industry collaborations and funded research projects, enabling them to work on real-world problems. Undergraduate and graduate students work together in a collaborative research environment, where they are mentored through an interdisciplinary approach by faculty members with diverse expertise under the common theme of cyber security.
