The Multimedia Processing Lab is dedicated to advancing research and innovation in multimedia processing, analysis, and compression technologies. The laboratory focuses on developing state-of-the-art algorithms, methodologies, and intelligent systems that improve the efficiency, quality, accessibility, and transmission of multimedia content across diverse platforms and applications. Our research encompasses a wide range of topics including multimedia signal processing, image and video compression, multimedia communications, computer vision, machine learning-based media analysis, and immersive media technologies. Through interdisciplinary collaboration and rigorous experimentation, the laboratory investigates advanced computational techniques to address the growing complexity of multimedia data while optimizing processing performance, storage efficiency, and content delivery. In addition to research activities, the laboratory provides an environment for hands-on education, innovation, and collaborative research. By bridging theoretical foundations with practical applications, the lab aims to contribute impactful solutions for academia and industry in areas such as digital media systems, intelligent content analysis, multimedia streaming, and next-generation communication technologies.
